Militants recruited an Uzbek student in South Korea
A student fr om the Andijan region of Uzbekistan fell under the influence of recruiters from a terrorist organization while studying in South Korea, and went to fight in Syria on the side of the radicals groups. He has been put on the international wanted list, reports a Podrobno.uz correspondent with reference to the Internal Affairs Directorate for the Andijan region.
Khamidillo Zainobiddinov, born in 1999 in the Asaka district of the Andijan region, went to study in South Korea in 2017, wh ere he came under the influence of recruiters from foreign terrorist organizations.
In 2020, Zainobiddinov traveled through Turkey to Syria and joined Katibat al Tawhid wal Jihad terrorist organization. Currently, he actively participates in hostilities as part of this group.
A criminal case has been initiated against him for the production, storage, distribution or display of materials containing a threat to public safety and public order, as well as creation, leadership, and participation in religious extremist, separatist, fundamentalist or other prohibited organizations. He was put on the international wanted list.
