Terrorist group member extradited from Bulgaria

Employees of the Prosecutor General's Office, the National Security Committee, and Interpol, with the assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, extradited a citizen of Kazakhstan from Bulgaria. He will be prosecuted for participation in a terrorist group.

He is suspected of joining one of the terrorist groups in Syria in 2015. He was put on the international wanted list and a pre-trial investigation started.

In May, the suspect was detained in Bulgaria. Presently he is kept at the pre-trial detention center in Astana.
