A foreigner who financed terrorists detained in the Amur region

A foreigner residing in the Amur region of Russia was detained there. The man was financing an organization recognized as terrorist in the Russian Federation. This was reported by the press service of the regional FSB Directorate.

A criminal case has been initiated against the foreigner under Part 1.1 of Article 205.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.  The law provides for imprisonment for a term of eight to fifteen years for such a crime. The preventive measure chosen for the person is detention.
