Law enforcement officers are looking for an Uzbek citizen fighting in Syria

State Security Service officers are looking for an Uzbek citizen who joined a terrorist organization and is fighting in Syria on the side of militants, Podrobno.uz correspondent reports.

According to the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Andijan region, the wanted person is 33-year-old Saidolimkhon Mukhtorov, a native of the Andijan region. He went to work in Moscow in 2015, fell under the influence of recruiters and started participating in secret societies.

After this, Mukhtorov, with their help, moved to Syria and joined the ranks of  Katibat al Tawhid wal Jihad foreign terrorist organization. He had undergone military training and now takes part in hostilities.

A criminal case has been opened against Mukhtorov under Articles 159 (Encroachments on the Constitutional Order of Uzbekistan) and 244-1 (Production, Storage, Distribution or Display of Materials Containing a Threat to Public Safety and Public Order) of the Criminal Code.
