Russia and Arab countries agreed to counter terrorism more actively
Russia, together with the Arab countries, condemns terrorism in all its manifestations and recognizes every terrorist attack as a crime, stressing the need to strengthen cooperation to combat this threat, TASS reports. These were the main points of the joint statement adopted at the VI session of the Russian-Arab Cooperation Forum (RACF) in Marrakesh.
The forum participants agreed to increase efforts in countering terrorism and extremism, preventing the spread of terrorist ideas, and curbing the financing and support of terrorist activities. In addition, they expressed their readiness to support Arab countries in the field of combating terrorism and contribute to reconstruction after terrorist attacks.
The heads of the foreign ministries of Morocco, Palestine, Yemen, Bahrain, Sudan, Lebanon, Mauritania, Egypt, as well as Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov took part in the VI session of the RACF. Together they expressed their readiness to strengthen cooperation to counter terrorism both at the regional and international levels.
