Shooting in the Czech Republic killed 14 people, injured 25

According to updated data, the number of victims of the shooting in Prague is 14 people, and 25 more were injured, European media reports citing the police.

Previously, there were reports of more than 15 dead and 24 injured.

The police says the attacker was a 24-year-old university student. According to the police statement, he decided to open fire because he wanted to emulate people who had committed similar attacks in other countries. Ultimately, the shooter died.

The head of the Czech Ministry of Internal Affairs Vit Rakušan said that “there is no evidence that would indicate that the crime is connected with international terrorism.”
