Taliban security forces in northern Afghanistan subjected to rocket fire

The building of the security service of the radical Taliban movement in the Afghan city of Talukan, the administrative center of the northeastern Takhar province, came under rocket fire. Hasht-e Subh newspaper reported this, citing local sources.

According to the media, the attack took place on January 21. The rockets hit the gates of the security service building. The attack left one Taliban fighter dead, another one wounded, and destroyed a pickup truck nearby.

The media notes that cases of attacks by resistance forces opposing the Taliban on supporters of the radical movement have become more frequent in recent months in in various parts of Afghanistan. No group has claimed responsibility for the latest attack yet.
