A citizen of Uzbekistan sentenced to nine years for financing terrorism

A citizen of Uzbekistan was sentenced for facilitating terrorist activities. In the city of Severomorsk of Murmansk region of Russia.

The Northern Fleet Military Court found the man guilty under Article 205 (Assistance in Terrorist Activities) of the Russian Criminal Code.

The investigation and the court established the defendant made two money transfers to a member of a foreign terrorist organization in order to facilitate their terrorist activities, while staying in Arkhangelsk from July to August 2021

The Uzbek citizen was sentenced to nine years in prison.
