Three US troops killed in drone attack on a US base in Jordan

Three US Army soldiers were killed and more than 30 service members were injured in a drone attack on a US base in northern Jordan. CNN reports with reference to officials.

The American base is located near the Syrian border. As CNN notes, this is the first time that American troops in the Middle East have been killed in an attack since the start of the war in the Gaza Strip, which is a “significant escalation” of the situation.

The TV channel stated that the US Central Command confirmed that three troops were killed and twenty-five wounded as a result of the drone attack.
