ISIS claims responsibility for the Istanbul attack
Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the attack on a church in Istanbul. As APA reports with reference to Gazeta.ru, Reuters reported this citing a statement by the militants.
As the news agency indicates, citing a statement posted on the ISIS Telegram channel, the attack was carried out by two members of the organization who fled.
Before this, it became known that Turkish police suspect 47 people, including citizens of Russia and Tajikistan, of involvement in the shooting that occurred in the church on January 28. Turkish Interior Minister Ali Erlikaya said that operations were carried out at 30 addresses in the course of the investigation.
According to Yerlikaya, some of the detainees may have ties to the Islamic State terrorist group.
