Weapon cache seized in Almaty, Kazakhstan

On January 24, officers of the National Security Committee discovered a cache with an arsenal of weapons in Almaty.

“30 weapons were seized, including Kalashnikov assault rifles, pistols, shotguns, as well as five grenades, ten smoke bombs and 221 cartridges of various calibers.”

According to preliminary data, these weapons were stolen during the “January events.”

A pre-trial investigation is underway.
