Afghan resistance members attacked the Taliban in the northeast of the country

Members of  National Resistance Front (NRF) insurgency of Afghanistan reported killing of a Taliban representative during an operation near the municipality building in Takhar province. According to a statement from the National Resistance Front published on the official page in X, two more Taliban were injured.

 

“On December 10, at about 2:00 (00:30 Moscow time), the forces of the National Resistance Front planted a mine in front of the municipality building of Talukan, the administrative center of Takhar province, and an enemy military intermediary was blown up. As a result of the operation, one Taliban member was killed, and two more were injured,” the statement said.

 

Earlier, the Aamaj News agency, citing sources, reported that at least two Taliban were killed and four more were injured as a result of a blast in the northeast of the country. Representatives of the Taliban have not yet commented on the incident.

 

At the moment, there two largest resistance groups operating in Afghanistan are the National Resistance Front (based in the north and northeast of the country) and the Afghan Liberation Front (operating in the southern regions, but recently its supporters started to carry out attacks in the north of the country).
