Iraqi Shias threaten to attack any US base in the Middle East

Iraq's Kataib Hezbollah group is ready to retaliate with "undeclared long-range weapons" at any time and place if the United States attempts to avenge the deaths of three of its troops at a military base in Jordan, a group spokesman said.

The United States earlier vowed to respond to Sunday's drone attack on its outpost on the Jordan-Syria border, which killed three and wounded more than 40 American troops. On Wednesday, the United States came to the conclusion that the umbrella organization Islamic Resistance in Iraq that includes the pro-Iranian group Kataib Hezbollah was behind the attack on the base in Jordan.
