A meeting held between the commander of the Border Troops of the State Security Service of Uzbekistan and the commander of a Taliban corps in Afghanistan

The national television of Afghanistan reported on the meeting between the commander of the 209th Army Corps “Al-Fath” of the Taliban Rahmatullah Mohammad, and the commander of the Border Troops of the State Security Service of Uzbekistan Salimjon Khusanov.

During the meeting which was held in Hairatan the parties exchanged views on border issues and emphasized the need to expand cooperation. Border affairs are becoming increasingly relevant. This is not the first meeting between representatives of the border services of the two countries in the last three months. In January, the head of the State Security Service of Uzbekistan Lieutenant General Abdusalom Azizov visited Kabul.
