Sponsors of Syrian terrorists detained in Samara region of Russia

A terrorist cell has been busted in the Samara region.

According to the law enforcement officers, the detainees belong to Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham terrorist organization banned in Russia. The men were suspected of organizing a channel for providing resources to the organization.

– The detainees shared the ideology of the terrorist group. They were receiving instructions from the functionaries of the organization, the FSB reported.

According to the security officials, the suspects regularly transferred money to the accounts of militants located in the terrorist-controlled Idlib de-escalation zone of the Syrian Arab Republic.

Criminal cases were opened against the detainees. They are charged with facilitating terrorist activities.
