Participants of dangerous groups have been detained in the regions of Kazakhstan

Staff members of the National Security Committee (KNB), the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Prosecutor General's Office have eliminated eight criminal groups, according to Orda.kz, citing the press service of the KNB of Kazakhstan.

They have detained 23 people, the majority of whom are adherents of extremist religious movements. They are suspected of committing grave and especially grave crimes, including spreading terrorism narratives, kidnapping, extortion, drug and arms trafficking.

Authorities have seized firearms, banned literature, money, and drugs from the criminals.
