Belgium detainees discussed plans for a terrorist attack in a concert hall

One of the targets of the four Islamists detained on suspicion of terrorist plans yesterday in Belgium was the famous Le Botanique concert hall in Brussels, Belgian media reported on Monday.

On Sunday, law enforcement authorities detained three minors and one adult as part of an investigation by federal prosecutors. The attackers arrested in Brussels, Ninov, Charleroi and Liege are suspected of having links to violent Islamist extremism.

Their correspondence in the messenger, studied by investigators, indicates that they discussed their intention to “commit a terrorist attack” in Belgium. They also named the nearest target - the Botanique concert hall. The information was confirmed by the prosecutor's office.
