NINE TERRORISTS ARRESTED IN SEPARATE OPERATIONS IN EAST PAKISTAN

Nine terrorists were arrested in the province of Punjab in the course of intelligence-driven operations. This was reported by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of the Pakistani police.

According to the CTD statement, agency officials conducted operations following a tip about the presence of terrorists in various areas of the province.

The perpetrators intended to carry out attacks on important persons, government buildings and key infrastructure in Punjab, the report said. It was also indicated that the terrorists were members of banned organizations.

Improvised explosive devices, explosives, detonators and other potentially dangerous materials were also seized during the operations.
