An Uzbek citizen wanted in his homeland for religious extremist activities detained in Kyrgyzstan

A citizen of Uzbekistan, who was wanted in Uzbekistan for particpation in religious extremist activities, was detained in the Osh region, a Podrobno.uz correspondent reports.

 

According to the press service of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan, during investigative activities, officers of the State Committee for National Security detained a citizen of Uzbekistan in the Osh region.

 

The 51-year-old native of the Andijan region was wanted in his homeland for involvement in religious extremist activities, as well as for encroaching on the constitutional order of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

 

Currently, the detainee is held in Pre-Trial Detention Center No. 5 under the Ministry of Justice of Kyrgyzstan.
