As the press service of the Russian FSB Directorate for the Kurgan Region reported, the person is an active supporter of radical movements of Islam. He is now charged with publicly justifying and promoting terrorism.

- Last year, the defendant was sentenced by the Central District Military Court of Yekaterinburg to 8 years in jail for participation in armed groups. In the correctional institution he had conversations with fellow inmates, justifying the activities of foreign terrorist organizations banned in Russia. He was trying to persuade the prisoners that terrorist activities were acceptable, legal and attractive, - Oksana Koryukina, official spokesperson of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Kurgan Region, told Region 45.

Presently a criminal case has been opened against the convicted person by the investigative unit of the regional department of the FSB.
