Russian Aerospace Forces destroy a militant base in Homs

Russian Aerospace Forces destroyed a militant base in the mountain range area in Homs governorate in Syria, said deputy head of the Center for the Reconciliation of Warring Parties in the Syrian Arab Republic Major General Yuri Popov.

“On March 31, a strike by the Aerospace Forces destroyed the base of militants who had left the al-Tanf zone and were hiding in hard-to-reach areas of the Jebel El-Mraah mountain range in Homs governorate,” he said.

The day before, Popov reported an increase in reconnaissance and sabotage related activity on the part of illegal armed groups in the Idlib de-escalation zone.

According to him, when the Syrian Armed Forces repelled an attack in the area of the village of Urum al Sughra on Friday, at least four terrorists were killed. On Wednesday, March 27, they eliminated at least six militants near the village of Kafer Nebel.
