FSB: militants detained in Dagestan were involved in the terrorist attack in Crocus City

Four foreign citizens were detained in Dagestan on suspicion of preparing a terrorist attack in crowded places in Kaspiysk. They are also suspected of contributing to financing the terrorist attack in the Crocus City Hall near Moscow. The Center for Public Relations of the FSB of Russia reported this on April 1.

According to security forces, the detainees were carrying out reconnaissance of the area, produced an improvised explosive device and purchased automatic weapons. They planned to leave after the attack.

“It was also established that the detained militants were directly involved in financing and providing tools for the attack to the perpetrators of the terrorist attack committed on March 22, 2024 in the Crocus City Hall concert hall in Moscow,” the department clarified.
