Unknown people call for terrorist attacks; the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan asks to call 102

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan published an address in connection with calls for terrorist attacks distributed via the Internet.

The address states that recently, in the context of terrorist attacks that took place in different countries, “individual residents of Uzbekistan and neighboring countries have been receiving messages via the Internet with an offer to plant mines in public places, including shopping and entertainment centers, schools and other public places for a financial reward.

“Most often, provocative messages are sent through the Telegram messenger. Unknown people promise to pay various sums of money, provide weapons and send an action plan, and, as a rule, do not react when people refuse. The worst thing is that these people most often write to children. In a number of these countries, cases of intimidation are recorded due to the fact that they allegedly have all the data about the child. The provocateurs do not have userpics and their phone numbers are hidden,” the address says.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs urged, in case of receiving such messages, “not to panic and not to send them to public chats, to your acquaintances and friends, but to immediately report to the law enforcement authorities by calling 102. Block the senders and do not enter into correspondence or conversations with them.”

“Remember that scammers are doing this to cause panic among the public! The law enforcement agencies of the republic are doing everything they can to eliminate any security threats,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted.
