The Secretary of the Russian Security Council calls to adopt an updated anti-terrorism program of the SCO states

Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev says it will be important to adopt an updated program of cooperation to counter terrorism, separatism and extremism during the future summit of the heads of the member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO)

“It is important to adopt an updated program of cooperation in countering terrorism, separatism and extremism for 2025-2027 at the upcoming summit of the heads of SCO member states. In addition, it is necessary to continue to jointly promote the SCO convention on countering extremism, primarily at the UN, as the best experience of cooperation between our countries in the fight against extremism,” Patrushev said in Astana at the 19th Annual Meeting of the Secretaries of Security Councils of the SCO member states.

The SCO summit will take place on July 3-4 in Astana.
