The FSB seizes 300 thousand SIM cards used by terrorists

During operational activities conducted in 40 regions of Russia, 612 SIM boxes and more than 300 thousand SIM cards used for sabotage and terrorist activities were seized.

Criminal cases under Article 159 (Fraud) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation were initiated against 30 persons. Against two others involved in unlawful access to State Services accounts cases were opened under Article 272 (Illegal Access to Computer Information) of the Criminal Code of Russia.

RosKomNadzor began requiring mobile operators to block the numbers of subscribers with irrelevant personal data.
