Five security officials died in Iran as a result of a terrorist attack; a hostage taken

The so-called Justice Army attacked police stations and military bases in Iran. By the morning of April 4, at least five law enforcers were known to have been killed.

The IRNA news agency reports that five militants were eliminated. The attacks took place in Raska and Chabahar, in the southeast. “The situation is under control,” said the deputy head of the region Alirez Marhamati.

Besides, the news agency notes that clashes continue in the cities of Sarbaz, Rask and Chabahar, but “the terrorists are completely surrounded by security forces.” One civilian hostage is known to have been taken.

According to some reports, the terrorists were associated with the Pakistan-based terrorist group Jaysh al-Adl (Army of Justice - Ed.). In recent months, the group has claimed responsibility for a December attack on a police station in Rusk that killed at least 11 officers. On January 10, another group attack on a police station in the same city killed one person.
