Media: 11 people became victims of militant attack in Pakistan

Eleven people became victims of a militant attack in Baluchistan, southwest Pakistan, The News portal reported.

According to the law enforcement agencies, more than a dozen militants blocked the national highway 1 km from the city of Nushki on Friday evening. Nushki City Deputy Commissioner Habibullah Musakhel said the armed people began checking vehicles, firing at those that did not stop. One of the cars overturned as a result of the shelling. Two persons died.

The militants also stopped a passenger bus carrying workers, abducting nine people and fleeing with them to hide behind the nearby hills. Authorities later said the bodies of all nine people were found under a bridge nearby. They were shot down.

Police said members of an armed Baloch separatist organization may be responsible for the attack. Security forces have launched a search operation in the area to apprehend the suspects.
